Raiding with Betrayal
This is an updated copy of what the guild expects of all their raiders.
**Raid Rules**
The first part to this is taken directly from the discord server in the welcome section and you should all have already seen and read this.
• Every Raider is expected to do their best. We are not a hardcore guild, but we intend to make the most of our raiding and so have high expectations of our raiders. Everyone should strive to give their best when raiding, ensure they meet the demands of what it takes to be a raider, and spend time researching how to improve outside of raids. All WE ASK IS YOU TRY YOUR BEST!
• The Raid Leader is the boss. Follow their directions, and be quiet when they are speaking on Discord. Do not monopolise Discord or inundate the Raid Leader with whispers about your brilliant strategy ideas during the raid. If discussion is invited, then keep it brief and to the point.
• PUNCTUALITY:- Be online before raid invites are issued, and be at the raid entrance and ready to raid before the raid starts.
• If you can't be online for a given raid on time and you can leave a message ahead of time, make sure you leave a message saying so in the https://discord.com/channels/252468223461556225/1096241622510993418. You can use the channel to sign off a day or a week ahead of time.
• Positive criticism is a good thing. Members should feel free to give advice and suggestions to other players to improve their play. Equally, Members should view any positive criticism as an opportunity to improve.
• PTT (Push To Talk) is recommended for raiding, but can be actively turned off and on at GM and GO's discretion.
• Constructive feedback and discussion on all aspects of the guild and raiding is always welcome.
Raiding Schedule [UK Time]
• Wednesday: 19:45 - 22:15
• Thursday: 19:45 - 22:15
• Monday: 19:45 - 22:15
Times shown are UK based time realm time is always +1 hour from these times.
• Everyone is expected to be online 15 minutes prior to all raid starts.
The second part to this is the additional rules which will be used going forward into The War Within and Beyond. Some of these following rules might repeat themselves slightly or might not be in a logical order but I was trying to cover everything.
• EVERY RAIDER WILL RUN AT LEAST 4X Mythic Plus Dungeons EVERY WEEK to improve their ilvl of gear outside of raiding.
• For guild progression you will be expected and limited to using ONLY ONE character! This is to keep loot distribution fair so that one person doesn’t keep gaining items across multiple characters. This is unless otherwise stated by the raid leader (Partly due to members real life time limitations). THERE WILL BE NO SWOPPING WEEK TO WEEK!
• Your not being forced into joining in raiding or any other type of content with the guild. However if you are wanting to join in, all of these rules will and must be followed so it keeps it fair to everyone taking part.
• YOU ARE NOT TO PUG WITH YOU MAIN RAIDING TOON! This is so that you don’t become loot locked and reduce the number of items dropping for the raid group when running as a guild.
• This above rule especially applies to Mythic raiding if and when it becomes available for the guild to start progressing into this most. The main reason for this is Mythic raid uses a unique raid ID and you will be locked out to that ID stopping you from running with a different group etc. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE WHILE THE CURRENT PROGRESSION TIER IS STILL ACTIVE.
• A loot distribution this is the toughest cookie to eat and swallow, a lot of people see raiding in different ways. I personally just see raiding as something fun to do with a team on like minded individuals and loot shouldn't be a main focus. That being said using a loot council addon can be a good thing and a bad thing. In my experience it just slows the whole raid down and having to have a vote on who gets what etc can lead to many arguments, especially as we aren't a hardcore or Mythic raiding guild at present. So we only use need/greed as the game desires for loot. All I ask is for people to use their common sense and ONLY ROLL NEED on items that are a huge upgrade unless it is ofc a BiS weapon or Trinket as everyone will probably roll need for these.
• I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO AMEND THESE RULES AS I SEE FIT. ANY CHANGES MADE TO THEM WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN GOOD TIME TO ALERT EVERYONE OF ANYTHING THAT MIGHT EFFECT THEM DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.
